Shtetëzohen puset e naftës, prishet konçesioni me Transatlantic
Ministri i Energjisë, Damian Gjiknuri autorizoi kompaninë shtetërore Albpetrol që të rimarrë në pronësi shtetërore dy nga vendburimet më të rëndësishme të naftës në vend, atë të Gorisht Koculit dhe Çakran Mollajt. Ky vendim është marrë për shkak se kompania konçesionare Transatlantic nuk ka përmbushur detyrimet kontraktuale dhe ka krijuar 30 milionë dollarë borxhe ndaj shtetit.
Vendburimet e naftës Gorisht Koculit dhe Çakran Mollajt u privatizuan në 2007-n, kur qeveria e atëhershme ia kaloi të dyja kompanisë Stream Oil. Stream Oil shfrytëzoi naftën dhe pasi krijoi një borxh 35 milionë dollarë ndaj shteti u shit tek kompania Transatlantic.
Pas kësaj shitjeje, dy venburimet, që dikur kanë prodhuar deri në 1.6 milion tonë naftë në vit së bashku, kaluan nëpër një varg manovrash financiare për të shmangur pagesën e borxheve ndaj shtetit. Një zinxhir që duket se merr fund me rishtetëzimin.
Albpetrol njoftoi se pas marrjes në dorëzim do t’i shfrytëzojë vetë të dyja vendburimet dhe fitimin e gjeneruar nga shitja e naftës do ta derdhë në buxhetin e shtetit.
Ky përbën dështimin e parë zyrtar të një konçesioni në sektorin e naftës në Shqipëri, ndërkohë që edhe për marrëveshjet e tjera rezultatet kanë qenë kontroverse.
Edhe pse thuajse e gjithë industria e naftës në vend është në duart e privatëve, e vetmja kompani që paguan tatim fitimi nga shfrytëzimi i saj është Albpetrol, kompania e vetme publike, ndërsa të gjithë konçesionarët privatë deklarohen me humbje.
